People ask me “Governor, why are you so interested in spirituality?” My answer is simple,” I am a lover not a fighter.” Spirituality teaches how to learn and love to appreciate all of the Creators creation. Spirituality teaches how to tap into the higher being within, and use that higher being to connect with others. Spirituality teaches how to respect other forms of life for their purpose, and how to tap into that purpose for the progression of life.
I understand that there is more to the supreme creation that what my eyes, ears, nose, tongue, or touch can sense. I know that there are things out there my heart can feel. I want to learn to strengthen the sense that comes from heart. The ability to see the better or the sunny side of life and creation, I believe comes from the heart. Is it wrong to want to be in spirit?
Last but not least, spirituality in its rawest sense, answers the questions that science looks to mimick. I believe the science tries to recreate spirituality in a controlled way. Science seeks to capture something that happens naturally in a test tube. I believe that by seeking spirituality, I am seeking the experience of higher self, instead of science which looks to explain the higher self. I look to be in spirituality or heaven or instead of having a workable concept of it.
