Embrace The Darkness

It is in the depths of darkness where fear and despair dwell a great winged soul was cast, from atop the highest mountain in the splendor of a kingdom in the sky, tumbling down on the way to those depths it screamed writhing in agony as its grace was pulled from within.…

The American Journey

The history of the world is somewhat shrouded in mystery, due to the fact that history is written typically by the victor of wars, people of higher social standing, or people of select educational backgrounds. If you were to truly look at the history of the world from a…

Shadow World

There is a place in my dreams, a place with many doors, many paths to which take me in endless circles. A maze of my past, a maze of my life, I see furniture I recognize now covered in plastic preserved for all time in my mind.  Trinkets that are gathering dust, and faded from this realm are frozen forever in this place. The air is cold here, as though there is no life anymore, as though it is a place preserved in time for when I arrive. A museum of sorts, with many doors that lead to many…

Awakening

The world of truth is hidden by people who are in some cases just as blind to the truth as you might be. One is able to see things differently when they take a step back, utilize all the information they have gathered in their life, and put it back together into a solid picture of the world as a whole.  Just like the religious doctrines of Jesus shepherding a flock of sheep, one can take this literally or figuratively, depending on their perspective. Of course during those times it was not…

Understanding The Spiritual Worlds

I've spent the last two days making efforts to understand the different worlds. It is becoming clear, but it is a process. I understand that everything is around me, I just have to develop the proper senses to be able to perceive it.

Its just hard to see some of things described in the books, but I have to grasp that the perception of life must be viewed through mind over matter. The thoughts of a individual or collective energy manifests itself. Ill come back to this thought…

Change the World

Society is the way it is because the generations before worked to make it so. It is up to each generation; however, to not only accept the traditions of those that have come before them and adopt them into their own practices. If at any point the generation that is in control decides to abandon the principles that have laid the ground work prior to their arrival they are free to do so with a consensus of the people, or through the suppression of one group by…

Looking Back Through Looking Forward...

The questions of the universe are numerous, but in the twilight of the endless night there is one ultimate question that resounds above the rest. It is the question of the purpose of life. Even with all the matter in the universe being created, and the purpose in that being a question in and of itself, the question of the purpose of life in that matter filled universe is even more pressing. In trying to answer the question of a purpose to life one must look at…

Missing Link

My imagination runs wild sometimes but there are some concepts that I can't get out of my head. I have times where religion is closer to the forefront of my mind and others where it is as distant as the nearest star.  I try to rationalize religion, to understand its purpose, its place in the world, and how it truly came about. Is it through a mystical experience, perhaps, but more likely my logic dictates that it is humanities desire for leadership and guidance in a world that offers none.…

Humiliation

I feel like everywhere I go, I humiliate myself and the ones I am with.  My hernia sticks out like I am nine months pregnant and it makes it difficult to get around.  Yes, I use a wheelchair and I see the looks of disgust I get from people.  I don't mention it, there is no use.  I won't change minds about my station in life.

Tonight, after dinner, I was getting back up in the van.  I usually have to have someone help me get on the bottom step so I can get my belly up into the seat. …

Looking Back

When you're a child you always think "When I get older..." the problem is with that comes the aspects of those hopes and dreams you never counted on. The fact that your parents are now old and grey, or dead and gone or the fact that the things that you thought would just magically happen wound up being much harder to achieve than you first anticipated. There are a lot of things about life that you don't understand as a child, and even as an adult sometimes you struggle with them. There are…

Fate

Is there such a thing as fate or do we control our own destiny? If everything started with the big bang, then everything that happened from that point is a result of that one "Action". The creation of the universe and everything since is a "Reaction" to the initiation of one singular moment. Are your actions your own? Even though you know you have a choice to choose A or B, isn't it the culmination of other events that gave you those choices to begin with and with that your decision has…

Nosy People

There are just some people that do not need to open their mouths.  Yesterday, at the dentist, I had a woman start in on me about my weight.  She doesn't know me.  She's never met me before.  What gave her the right?  She wasn't even doing it in a healthy manner.  She told me I was a rolling heart attack.  I had already had a stroke, was I suicidal.  I had just had a filling done and my face was numb, I've never had a stroke.  That did not stop her.  She told me that I was enormous and being…

What's Life Got To Do With It?

Is life really worth it? Lets look at life, there are 168 hours a week. 40 of which if your lucky are spend working if not more. 56 hours sleeping if you get 8 hours per night. 96 hours in total you don't get to truly enjoy. Lets add in the eating and driving portions to your days. How about just 2 hours a day, even though it takes up more, we will give it the benefit of the doubt, that would be 14 hours. Now we're up to 110 hours of stuff that is quite literally…

Against Myself

Every day I think about killing myself, every day I survive myself, it's hard when the world is against you, it's harder when you're against yourself. I have a rope that I look at every day, I can be in a good mood, then in an instant there's no easy transition its off to wanting to kill myself. It doesn't matter what it is, it can be small or big things to trigger it, but the result is always the same, a fine line drawn in the sand. I have seen my world shatter, the only world that ever…

World of Deception

Let's begin with this, everything we know first and foremost is based off of those around us. Even more so, that which they knew was based off of others too. Lets look at the information we have then like the telephone game, one person tells someone something like "the sky is blue" and by the end of the game the line has changed drastically to something like "the sky is blue because there is an ocean in the sky" which depending on perspective may or may not be true, seeing that there are…

Percieving Time

There is the now, but a second ago was now when it was happening, and even as I'm writing this the now that was described is separate now from the now, now. Every moment in time is separated yet by another moment, whether or not we can perceive it or not. As Days are Divided by the Hours, Minutes, and seconds, so are the moments of time to which they are attributed. The memory of previous moments though at times hazy is still present, however, we cannot perceive what has yet to come.…

Mind of God

I have imagined what a universal consciousness would be, one that would see through every eye, feel through every body, hear through every ear,  taste in every tongue, and smell from every nose. Breathe in the air from every life sustaining world, and yet at the same time die an infinite amount of deaths. Feel what love is to an infinite number of species, and at the same time feel the same loss of that love. Eat many varieties of foods, and feel what it is to be those foods before they were…

By The People: For The People

The problem with laws are that they do not change with the people. If Government is for the people and by the people, then that same Government's laws should be the same. Would it not be prudent to then have laws that expire? Every generation in turn, reenacting the laws to which their forefathers enacted in the past, but voting on the laws according to present conditions. This too would go to eliminating outdated laws that no longer have any use in our current state of affairs. Having a…

Getting To Know You

If you look at personalities of people, you can see patterns in certain individuals. When you know people in general well enough you can just look at certain aspects of their lives and know their personality based upon these aspects. Take a kitchen table for example. If someone has a round table they are typically more mild, in temper and in action. Someone with a square table is typically more at odds with themselves and others, while someone with a rectangular one likes to be dominant and…

These are the Pillars of Creation, nebulas of gas and stellar nurseries holding the building blocks for infant stars being born. I have often looked at them as though they called to humanity. The First pillar (left) looks up close like an old man with his finger pointing upward and his head hung as though in…
